Hey, Do You Have Permission for That?

One of the most important aspects of being able to manifest something that you want is to have permission. Nothing could be more important. All of the books in the bookstores and libraries combined about self-help and actualization mean nothing if you don’t personally give yourself permission.

Even when you were a child, you were taught that you needed to ask for permission to do something. Yes I know some of you out there didn’t ask for permission to do certain things, but by and large the majority of people need permission to do something, especially something outside the box. Which is why most people view change with such disdain, because it usually comes back to the anxiety of having to ask for permission. Permission from whom? Permission from your family, friends, co-workers, significant others, any one of them can either extend or deny you permission. The most powerful type of permission you can receive is self permission and make no mistake about it without it the road is uphill.

Have you ever known or seen someone with very questionable talent and he or she is extremely successful and you scratch your head as to why? Well wonder no more, the universe isn’t mixed up, it’s simply matching the intention of the individual with regard to permission. You match permission and intention together and watch the success follow.

Generally you don’t have to ask for permission to do something that’s widely accepted. The irony is in order to truly create something from nothing you’re generally taking about breaking the mold or creating a whole new mold. Therefore you can only receive permission, not from society, but only from yourself. Not having much success at something? The first thing you should do is to be honest with yourself and see if you have the necessary level of permission to be successful. You might be giving yourself permission, but significant others might not, only you would know the truth.

Start with permission, self-permission and you’ll be more than half way there.

Your Creative Being

You have to get in touch with the feeling of being in that state. Ask yourself what would i feel like if I have already achieved what I am looking for? Not the words! The indescribable feeling, this is very important. Don’t even try and look for the words, try to match the feeling.

Thoughts elicit feelings, when you get in touch with the feeling capture it. When you have doubts, frustration, anxiety or any other negative emotion, see it, and then go back to that feeling.

Now for the most important part. From there all events that happen in your life from that moment on are designed to get you to your destination, because you are already there. You’re living it, it is you and you are it. Setbacks aren't setbacks but necessary events that will bring you closer to where you want to be.

Let your emotions be your guide. The feeling of anxiety, fear, hopelessness only mean you are not in tune to what you want to be, shed them and put yourself back in that feeling. Being conscious of your thoughts necessary because the recognition of their deception will help you clear the fog. You are not your thoughts and for the most part they are the creator of illusions, know that and understand it.

For the most part your ego is responsible for your most damaging thoughts that haunt you. If there were no you, (which really doesn't exist) then the effect of your thoughts would be significantly be diminished. Understanding that the ego in you wants to be important and will always seek to defend itself is very important in visualizing and putting yourself into the place where you want to be.

Ground yourself, change and evolve. You’re not successful by analyzing, thinking and changing, that’s the old paradigm. The process is seeing, feeling and changing.

Mirror Mirror On The Wall

What do you see when you look into the mirror. You see yourself of course, all the physical aspects of your material body. But are you your body? Yes and no. You should always remember you are spirit in body and not a body with a spirit, seems like semantics, but it’s not.

What you see is more of a function of what your mind wants to or thinks it sees. Some people that are a normal weight think they’re fat, some people that are taller than average think they’re too short. The mind sometimes thinks it’s rational and objective, however there is nothing further from the truth. The mind is a creator of reality. How you perceive the world is how the world is, to your mind.

Now let’s throw time into the equation. Most people think the future is something that’s coming towards them, based on the passage of time. When the future is something they pull towards them based on what they have sent to the symbolic mirror. The unfolding of the future is not independent of your own reality, more like a self fulfilling prophecy that starts within your mind.

If you think of yourself as smart and successful you will pull a certain future towards yourself. This is not a one to one correlation, but a directional one. If you don’t think too highly of yourself, for what ever reason, you will pull a quite different series of events. The best background reading for this is the physicist David Bohm who wrote about the implicate and explicate worlds. Basically the physical world is the explicate and is a projection of the implicate or unseen world.

To round this all up, be care full and mindful of what you are sending to that mirror, it’s not just a simple reflection. Drop your Grounding cord and understand as well as be mindful of your influence in what you pull to yourself.

Ground Yourself and Avoid Learned Helplessness

It is in our DNA to desire to have choices. The fundamental aspect of freedom is the ability to choose. World Wars have literally been fought for this right. We can call it different names freedom, democracy, determination, free will but, at the core is the desire to have the right to choose. Where one wants to live, worship, shop, eat, work, the list is endless. We have watch dogs in the form of media and interest groups and they are charged with watching out for anything that might hinder or stop our freedom to choose.

But, what happens when we have the freedom but the internal ability to choose is taken from you? Or for one reason or another, you just lose the will to choose? Then you have effectively lost your freedom and you’re suffering from Learned Helplessness.

In a groundbreaking study a psychologist Martin Seligman conducted experiments at Cornell University that changed the way people look at choice and control. He took 2 dogs (no animals were hurt during his experiments) and put them in their own bin. On the bottom of both bins was a low level electrical grid. On one side of the bin when the dog felt the shock and pushed the side of the wall the electrical shocks stopped. On the other side of the bin no matter what the dog did he was unable to stop the electrical shocks.

Then the same two dogs were put in a different type of circumstance. They were put into different bins that had openings and the dogs could see how to escape the bins. The shocks were administered and the dog that was previously allowed to stop the shocks immediately escaped through the opening. However the dog that was not allowed to stop the shocks just laid there and didn’t attempt to escape.

What Seligman discovered was basically the will to choose was removed from the dog that was not allowed to control his environment. To extrapolate, the dog didn’t feel his actions would amount to anything that was going to change his condition. Does the circumstances faced by the dogs sound scarily familiar?

We all want to have the freedom to choose, but if we feel that our choices are not going to net any results we tend to freeze or stay in place. It’s too much trouble, I don’t like to change, nothing good is going to happen, I tried already no sense in continuing to try, I am unlucky, it will never happen for me, don’t waste your time, more trouble than it’s worth, did I miss any? We have all opportunity and freedom, but most of us will never exert the will to even take advantage of even a small percentage of opportunities available.

As I said this is Learned Helplessness. Learned because it’s against our very nature to not want to exercise free will and choose. However, if someone or something can set you back and you internalize it, you learned that your choices have no consequence, therefore you are essentially Helpless.

Learn to Ground and root yourself from an energy standpoint and it will be difficult for you not to have the ability to determine your own course and be one with the energy around you. Therefore in harmony, stress free and will be able to create the abundance that you deserve.
